God Will Bless You With Much, If You're Thankful For The Least...11/06/09

God will bless us with much if we’re thanking Him for the least that we have. The story comes to mind about the Good Steward, who had wasted his Master’s goods. He called him to give an account of what he has done!

The steward was so ashamed that he had to correct this issue so that the Master of the House will not take the talent from him. He sort wisdom on how to correct this problem for his Master.

You see, God will hold us account for what He has placed in our paths. If we are not thankful for the little God has blessed us with, how can He trust us with much. I know sometimes we see others being blessed with all sort of goods from the Lord. But we don’t know the walk that they had to measure up to and the trials they had to go through to get them.

In Christ, we all have different talents and gifts that God is waiting for us to use them for His glory. Just like the steward, we can always ask for the understanding of God’s wisdom to do what we need to think outside the box.

If we sit on what God has given us, how can we expect Him to add to what He has already done? We all have something to do for the Glory of God.

Today, let’s look deep inside our hearts and ask for understanding and wisdom from God to do what His will is for our lives.

I wholeheartedly believe this. Looking back when I was younger, I remember having much greater financially, yet still unfulfilled. However, after enduring several years of hardship, (miscarriage, divorce, death of my father, and loss of my job) all in a couple of years, I began to appreciate the smaller things and it seemed as my blessings flowed more abundantly. I'm also more apt to think about the things I pray for and accept them w/o any complaints. B/c I know without a shadow of a doubt, that all of my prayers have been answered, I just didn't take the time to think about it until they were taken away.

C.D. , This would also make a GREAT blot post!! Thanks for the inspiration! I always tell my kids this. When we were cramped in our little apartment, the kids would keep it sooooo messy! But they wanted a house so bad. So I prayed with them for the house but I expressed also that in order for God to bless us with what we WANT, we needed to be good stewards of what He had already given us. They actually listened and God blessed us with a beautiful house in a very nice neighborhood and we've been here now for almost 10 years!! I was just thinking about that blessing the other day, because my youngest son was just a baby and he's literally grown up in this house! It has been a blessing to be in walking distance of schools and other aspects of our community.

As well as with the business God has entrusted to me. I know that it is not a "money maker", it's a relationship builder and a support system for others. I have resolved that if the Lord wants to provide an income for me from this business, He will, but that's not what it's all about and I'm thankful to share what He has given me regardless!!

Anywho, I'll sit here and right a book and I didn't mean to! So, thank you for another reminder to be a blessing with whatever God has blessed you with!!

I agree with you whole heartly. Sometimes, our paths are such that it force us to cry out to God! God desires that we see a need of Him in our lives, even before the hardships. But thank God that you see.
