Relationships Do Hurt but Do They have to Shut You Down?

Hey, let's face it, there's some risk when sharing your heart. Opening up to a person often doesn't require as much as it does to protect it. We spend so much time guarding our heart, avoiding opportunities to connect with new people so we call it something else like "I'm just focused on my career right now" or "I don't have time for a relationship." We concentrate on all of the reasons why we shouldn't have a relationship or why we don't want one but, knowing deep inside you would really appreciate a quality companion.
Amazingly, we often convince ourselves that we don't need that either..."I'm good all by myself" is a phrase I'm sure most have said or know someone who has. How true is it that a person is good all by themselves? When I say it aloud,,,I'm not sure that sounds right.

What's the real reason behind a woman saying she's "good" all by herself but she really truly wants love? Is it really as simple as she's been hurt before? Please share the "real" meaning of this interesting desire to be alone.

We believe in giving back to our community, "Making a Difference... Ensuring Success" and we need YOUR help!

Through the NBWEN Women's Fund, our desire is to award $20,000 in scholarships to deserving young ladies seeking a business degree from an accredited two- or four- year college or university, or vocational school, as well as grants to women in our community who wish to establish and grow their own business (startups in business less than 3 yrs).

Five women will each be awarded $2,500 grants, 5 women will each be awarded $1,000 scholarships, and 5 women will each be awarded $750 scholarships.
