For us to achieve the goals we have set for this organization, we need to know each other! Let's plan a MEET AND GREET EVENT on the STATE LEVEL by the month of September 2009! Join this group and YOUR state group, if interested!!

To the Fabulous Hardworking Women and of course, our men members too of NBWEN.

If you are paying close attention to the blogs and posts by our PREXY, Shellye Williams, we are in the process of getting ourselves more organized.

Our goal in the next couple of months is taking this network to the next level - going beyond the "cyberspace" meeting - but meeting face to face - at least on the state level - at least.

For us to be able to achieve all the goals we have all set for this organization - we have to get to know each other - so we are planning a MEET AND GREET EVENT - on the STATE LEVEL by the month of September!

Our first step is to get ourselves organized by STATE! Please email me your names and the state that you belong to and I will post out the list of members on a weekly basis on who and what state that everyone belongs to and we will go from there.

We believe in giving back to our community, "Making a Difference... Ensuring Success" and we need YOUR help!

Through the NBWEN Women's Fund, our desire is to award $20,000 in scholarships to deserving young ladies seeking a business degree from an accredited two- or four- year college or university, or vocational school, as well as grants to women in our community who wish to establish and grow their own business (startups in business less than 3 yrs).

Five women will each be awarded $2,500 grants, 5 women will each be awarded $1,000 scholarships, and 5 women will each be awarded $750 scholarships.

If you can help us with our goal of "Making a Difference... Ensuring Success", please take the opportunity to contribute in whatever amount you desire. ($1, $2, $5, $20, $100, $250, $500 or whatever you like)
