My name is LaKeisha Hankins, I am a devoted wife and mother of four beautiful girls. More than 8 years working in Corporate America as an Accountant. I was raised like many with the idea to go to college, get a degree, and get a good job and I did just that. As we added to our family, my responsibilities changed. My roles as a wife, mother, friend, and sister had completely taken over my life, I was more consumed with trying to satisfy everyone else and there was no time for “me” and I started feeling like I was working just to pay the bills and not enjoying life and time with my family.
After the economy took a turn for the worst in 2008, reality sunk in. I was sitting here with a piece of paper, bachelors degree in Accounting and student loans out of this world feeling inside that I would never make what I was worth. Some would say I had it all, but I was not satisfied. I desired to spend more time with my family and doing things I enjoy.
I turned to the Internet and got my first taste of direct sales at first I didn’t succeed and partnered with an awesome direct sales company and was on the path of changing my lifestyle, the checks and monthly commission were great but I found it hard to keep my down line motivated and they were soon trickling off, faster than I could find others with the same vision as me and my checks were getting smaller.
In my short period of time online I was able to meet some great leaders who were having much success in this industry and knew how to build a network marketing business. I started learning what really works and why 97% of people fail in the business or never make a profit, better yet break even.
I learned the importance of branding myself and not the company I partnered with, which is completely contrary to what we are told.
I am very thankful that I was able to connect with someone who was willing to mentor me and show me the ropes and I am able to bless someone else in return with the information I learned. Today, I work with people like you.
