i write for the very reason i breathe...also an environmentalist, i am the director of the Texas chapter of the African American Environmentalist Association, forever blogging to urge everyone in the Universe to Get Active. Go Green!
in my role as the founder and director of Hearts for the Arts, Inc., i'm a life coach, career counseling consultant, motivator and encourager for young artists.
my most important role however, is as mom to/fan of my active children, Equalizer to my my Soulmate and Center to my Universe.

- i write or edit passionately about the environmental, natural wellness, animal rights and teen and gay advocacy.
i'm published with national publications such as blackenterprise.com, the dallas morning news, abc news, inc., dancer magazine, capitol city courier and countless others.
my writing appears commercially with corporations like dallas area rapid transit (DART), the design factory (dallas conventions and visitors bureau), imc2 (clairol, NASCAR, proctor & gamble, eli lilly, ricoh, seasonale) attenza (radio shack, compaq, etc.), compusa and so many others.
locally, i have bylines with 411Sports, dallas weekly, eclipse, unsigned, the magazine, mon, the gazette and others.

We believe in giving back to our community, "Making a Difference... Ensuring Success" and we need YOUR help!
Through the NBWEN Women's Fund, our desire is to award $20,000 in scholarships to deserving young ladies seeking a business degree from an accredited two- or four- year college or university, or vocational school, as well as grants to women in our community who wish to establish and grow their own business (startups in business less than 3 yrs).
Five women will each be awarded $2,500 grants, 5 women will each be awarded $1,000 scholarships, and 5 women will each be awarded $750 scholarships.
If you can help us with our goal of "Making a Difference... Ensuring Success", please take the opportunity to contribute in whatever amount you desire. ($1, $2, $5, $20, $100, $250, $500 or whatever you like)
